Iturcemi has successfully completed a comprehensive and highly complex technical project in the electrolysis plant, combining electrical and instrumentation engineering (EIE) with the programming and configuration of a Siemens PCS7 distributed control system.
In the area of EIE engineering, the scope included defining electrical and instrumentation schematics, loop diagrams, cable lists, low-voltage switchboards, motor control centers (MCCs), and connections to field equipment, along with preparing demolition and reinstallation documentation. This work ensured complete traceability of the installation, operational continuity, and compliance with applicable regulations. Rigorous planning of deliverables, close coordination with the client and contractors, and progressive validation of documentation guaranteed a flawless and highly reliable project execution.
In parallel, on the automation side, Iturcemi undertook the programming and configuration of the PCS7 distributed control system, encompassing system architecture, configuration of the industrial communications network, server integration, and parameterization of control functions. This solution provided a robust, safe, and scalable operating environment, centralizing monitoring and optimizing the electrolysis process.
The project’s success was built on solid project management, with detailed milestone planning, active risk management, and multidisciplinary coordination. Thanks to this approach, deadlines were strictly met, and a high-value-added solution was delivered, integrating EIC engineering and distributed control within a single project.
