When we talk about large industrial projects, we sometimes forget the most important thing: where and how are the parts that make everything work built?
At Iturcemi Group, we are clear about this. Although we are an engineering company with an international vision, our true strength lies in our own workshops located in Gijón. Since we started in 2000, things have changed a lot. We have grown from a small team to a group of more than 250 professionals.
Over the years, we have not only grown in size, but also in technology. Today, we have more than 7,000 square metres dedicated exclusively to manufacturing real solutions:
Electrical Workshop: With more than 2,000 m², it specialises in the manufacture of motor control panels (CCM), low-voltage cabinets, PLCs, control desks, E-cabins, among others.
Mechanical Workshop: A 3,000 m² space equipped with heavy lifting equipment to create unique structures, industrial machinery and pressure vessels.
Hydraulic Workshop: 2,000 m² dedicated to the development of complete installations and lubrication systems, with the capacity to carry out critical processes such as flushing.
The success of these workshops is no coincidence; it is the result of a working model where agility and total control are the priorities. Before any equipment reaches the customer’s plant, it undergoes exhaustive quality testing under international standards (such as IEC 61439 or UL 508A for the American market).
What was once a purely manual task is now a digitised process that uses Big Data and digital twins to optimise equipment performance. This adaptability has enabled Iturcemi Group to develop large-scale projects. In short, the Iturcemi Group’s workshops are now centres of innovation where decades of experience are combined with the most advanced technology to ensure that industry never stops.
